Designed for multiplayer games. Edit: Made a few changes to the deck. Replaced Liliana's Caress with Dash Hopes, dropped the Leylines (I'd like to be able to pop off Liliana Vess's -8, if the opportunity ever arises.), found a third Guul Draz and two Shimian Specter's, and replaced one Psychic Miasma with Thoughtseize.

Me likey, most multiplayer black decks I see are demon, or vampires... This is one of the few original mono-black decks I've seen in awhile, and it doesn't suck! Not really any glaring problems that wouldn't be fixed with some easy sideboarding, so overall a 9/10

Very nice deck. You ought to run at least 1 kokusho and can probably afford to lose those specters shrouds for another land or two. Other cards you might consider: vampire nighthawk, braids cabal minion, pox and/or smallpox, and cards that can give you some draw power in exchange for some life considering the amount of lifegain potential in this deck. You are also better off just running cabal coffers instead of magus, especially in multiplayer.
Hah! Finally gathered all of the cards together to construct this deck. First game I played, looked a little something like this. First turn: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Painful Quandary. Second turn: Quest for the Nihil Stone. Third turn: Swamp, Psychic Miasma, targetting last card in hand, which was a land. Fourth turn: Swamp, Lilliana's Specter. Was possibly the best opening hand I've ever drawn. Unfortunately now everybody hates this deck, which means at least one or two players will go out of their way to take me out early.. :(
