Deck discussion for T2 Elves

Vengevines would work really well in this deck. Also, you should consider adding an Eldrazi Monument or two

I'm building this to help a friend. While this deck does add up to be a bit expensive, it's no where near as expensive as if it ran Vengevines.. that's mainly why I didn't include them.

I totally agree. I don't run any in mine either, but just a suggestion. They are really devastating in this kind of deck. Also, Acidic Slime seems more like a sideboard card for an elf deck

The slime might not be prime mainboard material, but I just love that card :) It's a super value control card, in a green deck nonetheless.

Genesis Wave isn't great for this, I think. Your best bet when playing it would be to make X equal 3, and odds are it would only get one card in play for you at a cost of 6 mana. Some actual card draw or creature booster would be a better idea, I think.

I've seen Genesis Wave in action in a green deck. It's one of those things that tips the scales in an elf player's favor if they don't lay down game winning board presence by turn 6. With Archdruid in play, X=10 is not an unreasonable thing to see. And aside from another Genesis Wave, every one of those cards revealed is going into play (lands, artifacts, and enchantments too).

Oh yeah, it lets you put permanents with cmc X or less into play. I was thinking it was just those with cmc X, exactly.

I run a modded version of the deck, using the same idea in mind, the mana ramp is amazing, I was able to do Ezuri, Renegade Leader - Trample ability 5x and Genesis Wave for 15 you usually wins the game.
