In the early turns you want to be playing lots of the cheap Elves. There are plenty of options you have, so it shouldn't be all that difficult to play a couple. Play Staff with Priest of Titania (or Wirewood Channeler or Elvish Archdruid) and you have infinite mana. You also get to play your entire deck.
