Pump infect if fun, but I'm not sure what role gitaxian probe is playing.
I think this deck lacks some end game staying power.
I use enchantments and a end game win condition. Take a look

gitaxian probe is good for seeing what's coming your way and help thin the deck out for pumps.
I'm not really looking stay power that would slow down the deck to much

How does seeing what's coming help this deck? It's not like you have a manaleak to save.

if you are trying to take them from 0 to 10 infect in one turn in it helps to see if they can screw up the play. and it's a manaless cycle.

I'm tired of your reasonless response.

I fail to see how a manaless cycle is "reasonless." 1) It thins your deck by replacing itself (two cards for one) and 2) Knowing what your opponent has has more significant impact than you'd think.

This deck can't let the game go late or else it loses so "end game staying power" isn't helpful here. You should also pick up a set of Inkmoth Nexus.

I totally agree with captinfluffy. If you want a quick infect deck and talk about late game, it should already be over for you. If they are not dead or about to die at the latest turn 5, with infect your probably going to lose. Infect is meant to be fast and done between turns 3-5. Everybody talks Skittles but I beleive that if you have time to cast skittles, your either playing with them or they have established and not taking any damage.

I never said that a cycle was bad to have, if anyone knows how to read. Knowing if they can stop you means nothing if you have no way around it. If they have cards in hand, a mental misstep will stop a single buff, which stops 0-10 infect. Also, something as simple as an enchantment for a perm buff, or a single large creature. Even some equipment change a game from, I can't win 5th turn and lose, to a win on the 7th or 8th turn. Something that will happen if someone can stop a buff or kill a creature.

4x Invigorate + 4x Rancor and you've given yourself a more reliable turn 2 win condition. Blighted Agent's unblockability makes him ideal for those buff cards. Rancor is just generally good due to the one mana it costs and Invigorate is a free +4/+4 to your infect creature. All you have to do is give your opponent 3 life, and since poison counters are the goal, their life total doesn't matter.

No, Rancor and Invigorate are really the best cards you could use.

I could see siding it for decks with little to no flying/reach defense but I don't think it would make the main deck

What do you think of Mycosynth Fiend?

he seams like he would be a good card here, but 95% you hit them for 10 or more poison in one shot. so they will not be poisoned enough for it. that was the same logic against corrupted resolve

How will you change this once Innistrad comes out?

we'll I'll put in the green blue duel lands. it'll make the deck a bit more expensive overall but it would be hard to not do it. there are still cheap blue draw spells so that's fine, the biggest lose will be distortion strike. I'm really hoping for something similar or different but still good if not it'll be interesting I suppose.

The closest thing i can see, currently, is to replace distortion strike with flight. not quite unblockable but flying is next best thing.

flying is common enough though, and the extra pump is nice, and it's just not the same T.T

i know. but like i said, i think it is currently the closest thing to a replacement. didnt say identical just closest thing to it.

Apostle's Blessing is what you'll want to replace Distortion Strike with. It doesn't rebound or buff, but it does partially fulfill the roles of both Distortion Strike and Vines of Vastwood when they drop.

didnt even think of that one.

Keep the Gitaxian Probe. I'd say opt for something more quicker then the Titanic Growth like more Giant Growth's or Ground Swell. Hell, maybe even a Vines of Vastwood.

I would have considered that if it was back when mirrin block just finished up and I had many more tornys to come. but I think the next one will probably be after rotation and all of those cards rotate.

I think my infect deck (found here: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=213095) nicely fits into the cheap deck category. I did already have the Birds of Paradise, which helped. I found it to be quite capable and snagged a victory at our local qualifier tournament for Pittsburgh. I actually opted out of the Ichorclaw Myr, despite originally planning on it because I found that opponents were more afraid of me being able to target their "hinge-pin" creatures with the one point of damage from a dying Necropede. The Livewire Lash was critical. I had several games where I was able to win without a single successful attack (including an ill-conceived Lightning Bolt by an opponent.)

I like it! Too bad that a lot of these cards are rotating out soon. Check out my black infect/control. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=230571 I think it's got a lot of really good stuff. I've seen a good many B/G infects, but this one takes out the proliferate in place of pump.

I bought this deck as my first deck in MTG a month ago and worked out well during casual play and two headed!

consistant win rate at turn 3-6

Overall the core cards are really solid,

Suggestions from experience:

-Corrupted Conscience should be inside deck
-Noxious Revival is useless most of the time

I added:
2-4 Inkmoth (not cheap.......i know......but i got 2 from boosters lol)
3-4Corrupted Resolve

I gave this deck to a friend after I made my own decks...... but not before I made this deck T2 standard, the idea is take out Distortion strike/see beyond/ and even preordian, and add more cards like Unsummon, Vapor snag, n stuff n add some prolifrate cards.
