Deck discussion for 'Legacy' Pain in my Heart (Deathstar-build)

you should definitely rename this deck to do something with voodoo

Hehe, I try hard to name my decks after the american soul-singer Otis Redding's songs (covers and originals).

I know it's a bit wierd ;)

Where's the Guilty Conscience? Works way better than Pariah

Pariah works better with the volcanic Hellion as a part of the deck-combos. With a pariah on a doll or a maniac a volcanic Hellion will offer you infinitive damage, without it you have to have a life advantage to get a win condition.

But I can easily see how it's an effective defensive card, along with doubling the damage-result you put into a maniac or a doll.

It is without a doubt a card I should consider. Maybe pull out a couple of Lightning bolts- since it can be used for creature destruction as well.

Thx for your comment btw :)

Also feel free to help with my latest project

It needs some work to become a good deck.

It actually causes an infinite loop with Stuffy Doll. So once its active, you win (barring a stifle, trickbind, or removal of some kind).

Stuffy Doll does 1 to itself -> Guilty Conscience triggers dealing 1 damage to Stuffy Doll + Stuffy Doll triggers dealing 1 damage to chosen player -> Stuffy Doll triggers dealing 1 damage to player + Guilty Conscience triggers dealing 1 damage to Stuffy Doll -> etc etc etc.

Spitemare?

It's a nice card, I've seen it. The duo mana source is great in this deck. It wasn't released when I built and bought the cards for this deck 3½ years ago :)

But I should probably update it with at least 2x Spitemare, maybe instead of Crater Hellions.
Though I like the Crater Hellions to reset the board when i'm falling behind.

Please feel free to comment on my project :

And help with suggestions to make it a more complete deck. It is just a basic 60-card-idea atm.

Thank you for commenting :)

Also, is this meant to be a Legacy deck? If so, it's illegal because Sol Ring is banned. If it's just a casual deck, never mind ;)

Ah I see now.. I need 4 of them then - Thx alot :)

My decks are not legacy. I don't really know what they are. I dont use more than 4 except lands, (or that rat), and there are cards I consider restricted. I just play against/with my friends.

just fyi, if u try that guilty conscience combo it becomes a tie... uncontrolled infinite loops tie games even if you theoretically win

421.4. If the loop contains only mandatory actions, the game ends in a draw. (See rule 102.6.)

You are wrong, because even though an infinite loop occurs, a player will be at 0 life when priority passes in between the triggers, when that happens, a player loses the game.

104.3b If a player’s life total is 0 or less, he or she loses the game the next time a player would receive priority. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)
