Deck Description

Of course I couldn't help myself and when the Dragons of Tarkir came out: I had to do a dragon deck! Much roasting and quick nasty beasts on the colors of the Dragonlord Kolaghan herself! This deck was the first deck with the main color being red and this very deck taught me to love the combination of red and a little bit of black. It has a lot of potential really!

How to Play

Main goal is to get your dragons on the battlefield as soon as possible. Before you can make that happen, you can slow your enemy down with some Draconic Roar, Roast and Kolaghan's Command. Fetch some right colored land with Bloodstained Mire and bring out your Dragonlord's Servants and dragon-buffing enchantments. The ideal opening hand for you is three lands (atleast two mountains or a mountain and one Haven of the Spirit Dragon), Dragonlord's Servant and a Thunderbreak Regent. You bring your Servant on the table at turn 2 and that important Thunderbreak Regent at turn 3. After that usually things start rolling pretty nicely, and of course would be nice to get more Regents on the table. Stormbreaths are also very important if you're battling against a deck that has white in it (like against Dromoka or Ojutai). If you don't have one in your hand, fetch one. You really want that dragon on to keep you safe against creatures like Dragonlord Dromoka.

Deck discussion for Dragonrage

I suggest that you take swift warkite for stormbreath dragon. Otherwise this deck is great!

Both of them? Even though you can put storage counters on it and use them to cast some dragons?
