Deck Description

It has been a while now from when the Dragons of Tarkir was released, and I have spent quite some time trying to get a hold of those new cards and how to build a new and better Sultai/naga deck. I thought that I'd do three separate decks around the Sultai/naga/Silumgar, and here's the first of them: the morph themed deck.

I fell in love with the art of Qarsi Deceivers, so I wanted to do a deck around them, where they could be useful. Also, I had some difficulties to use Kheru Spellsnatcher in my original Sultai deck, so I thought that this deck could be also about her since she has the morph ability and Deceivers can grant mana for it. I wanted to bring in the element of surprise and so I decided to add in some dragons and a nasty defender.

I tried to focus on supporting my morphs, lowering their manacost and fetching some land for them, to get them quickly on the table and turned face-up.

This is very challenging deck to play, and it demands putting in a lot of strategic mind.

How to Play

Bring Qarsi Deceiver and the enchantments on the table. The best would be that you'd have Qarsi Deceiver, Obscuring Aether and Trail of Mystery from the very begining, that you can fetch some more land while casting the morphs on the table. Equip the most precious creatures like the dragons or the Spellsnatcher with the Ghostfire Blade while their still face-down.

The plan is very simple: try to get the enchantments to the table to cast your surprise creatures cheaper. The difficult part here is that you have to think very closely when you're going to morph or megamorph them.

Use the tools you have to bring morphed creatures in and the rest is up to your strategic mind to bring your opponent down.
