My second deck that I ever played was a boros colored deck. I have always been a huge fan of white but never of red. This is the only type of red that I really like to play. It has a bit of red deck win with control aspects to it, so I still feel like I have to make very strategic moves at the right time instead of slamming down creatures and swinging.
For the early game I swarm out low drops to get my battalion triggers going for good damage. With blind obedience I prevent my opponent from just throwing out chump blockers when they see it getting nasty. The extort mechanic also keeps me sustained just slightly. Firemane avengers make for good spot clear and are an extremely good 4 drop. Gisela needs to drop asap. She will drastically reduce any and all damage that will try to pick off her or any of your bigger drops like aurelia . Keep loyalist in hand till you can drop him for the battalion because if you don't, chances are you will lose him fast! If you are having trouble with defender decks or azorius aggro use glaring spotlight for easy access and spot clearing capability. Witchbane orbs are especially in there for dimir. It will keep you from being the target for rediculous mills or ciphers.
