Deck Description

A modern deck based on the Dragon's Maze event deck. Designed to spawn as many tokens as possible before finally unleashing a tidal wave of potentially over 100 tokens.

How to Play

Play to keep yourself alive. Tokens are easy to reproduce, and with Trostani it is feasible to hook up over 100 life under the right circumstances. Finally, unleash your swarm of creatures and other effects to wipe out your opponent.

recommend the following build:
2 Brimaz, 2-3 Voice of Resurgence, 2 ryhs the redeemed, 4 birds of paradise, 1-2 trostani, 2 boros reckoner, 1-2 arch angel of thune
1 domri rade, 1 elspeth tiriel, 1 garruk caller of beasts
3 advent of the wurm, 3 devastating summons, 3-4 mizzium mortor, 3-4 chained to the rocks, 2-3 twin flame, 2 parallel lives, 3 boros charm
2 fires of yavimaya

a fun idea for the wayfarying temple or champion of lambholt is to use fling on 'em. if you decide to keep them in, i would suggest a couple of flings just for the hell of it. its such a simple card it's not expected sometimes.
another idea for a beefed temple/champion is mercy killing for more tokens

sideboard a couple of thragtusks, lox smiter, o rings, blind obediance (may want this main deck), burn at the stake

play with the numbers and adjust to you play style and you should be good

This doesn't seem particularly similar, IMO. It's more of a big token deck, but there's far less in terms of actual token generation. I did have the idea of swapping around a pilgrim and a steward for Purphoros and his hammer, and swapping out the shock land and evolving wilds for another forest and 2 mountains.

Also, this isn't supposed to be super serious. Semi-competitive, yes, but I just want to excel in the one field of token generation, and token generation only.

well for weenie tokens, you could always go
captain of the watch, perimeter captain, purphoros, young pyromancer, divine invocation ... or make this more goblin based and add krenko and krenko command

I've considered running Captain of the Watch and Purphoros, but that's it. The rest are simply too specific to make it worthwhile. I could also stick with a small amount of black and play a Skirsdag High Priest instead of a Lingering Souls.

splashing red for a purphoros and twinflame may not help the deck over all...same with splashing black for a few priests
twinflame isnt a favorite of mine. its ok for the original cost i guess...but gets pretty costly to expand with it

still say toss the wurm for the advent of the wurm. faster with same token result.

-the new hushwing/torpor orb decks willthrow a wrench into the wurm's/geist where the spell won't be touched. captain of the watch's token production would as well, but she still would have the nice pump for soldiers...

hrmmm..another possible setup could be:
2 brimaz, 2 odric, 2/3 bladehold, 3 pilgrim, 3 elvish mystic (unless ur sold on the vigilance of the steward), 2 rhys, 1/2 trostani. keep the walkers 1 each or add an elspeth
if you want a pumped by creature tokens you could also consider knotvine paladin...but 2 of either the champion, paladin, wafaring temple should suffice
fresh meat would help you for a board wipe situation...or you could set it up yourself with odric. tokens do go to the graveyard, but fizzle once there, so it works. turn some 1/1's to 3/3's
devout invocation could provide a lot of angel tokens...add that with // lives and boom, mid game if the mana dorks survive

cathar's crusade is a good after thought for this
