So my favorite roommate out of the total 6 I've had started to play MTG, so I wrote him this pretty budget decklist that should be able to kick ass at locals or even an FNM.
Gotta mulligan for that 3 land hand and just ride it out, Play Inventor's Apprentice turn 1, Thraben Inspector turn 2, equip a Bone Saw turn 2 as well, you get a 4-3 swinging in deep.Weapons Trainer and Thalia's Lieutenant swing in really deep, they're really effective once you have a great board state, sadly Thalia's doesn't affect the Kor Ally tokens coming out of Captain's Claws, but she's really good at keeping the trainers and apprentice's alive.In the sideboard against a more control based list we have Lantern Scout for the long game, Fragmentize to beat on RW Vehicles, and take out our Galvanic Bombardments for Always Watchings so we can really get in deep and play Westvale Abbey if we can get the tokens running and summon Ormendahl. ezpz lemon squeezy.If you can get the cash, its fine to run Selfless Spirits instead of the Lantern Scouts or Avacyn's, and if you can magically afford 4 Nahiri's, play those instead of the Fragmentize's.

I had the same idea. I used toolcraft examplar instead of thalia. I like resolute blademaster in here, I didn't even consider it. How about 2 or 3 open the armory? +1 from me
