The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Ongoing experimentation in milling in casual play. Comments more than welcome.

Control stalls the game while Mind Funeral and Traumatize set up Haunting Echoes. Tome Scour ends the game by milling the remaining lands.

Additionally, how does this site not have a mill category?

Deck discussion for Mill Deck

i don't like traumatize that much :)
maybe you should get glimpse the unthinkable
jace beleren
and nemisis of reason, all good cards for a mill deck.

I should have added that this is a semi-budget deck. I know that traumatize, howling mine and haunting echoes aren't always that cheap, but I was able to pick them up for ~ $1.50 each. I'd love nemisis of reason and jace, but the cost is prohibitive for me.

pretty nice mill deck you've got goin on here. I would look into some telemin performances (they mill until a creature card is revealed, then you take control of that creature.) it would help with your lack of creatures and help mill them. And maybe a couple Nemisis of Reason's (3/7 : whenever they attack, defending player mills ten cards) check out my Haste + Cascade = Hurt deck if you'd like and let me know what you think :P +1 for you though

AL J, I was reading your deck comments and I agree with your assessment that you'd like to have a lot of their deck milled by turn 5, but my vision is that the first 4 turns are mainly spent using counters and boomerangs on the opponents permanents/spells, slowing the game down so I can start popping stuff around turns 5 or so. If things are appropriately slow and I have enough counter in my hands, I'll wait until turn 7 to pop a traumatize (though I should have had some mind funerals going off by turn 5). This way I can save UU to use to counter if I need it. Maybe a different philosophy?

the 4 traumatizes are a little much, try taking 2 of them out and finding something else to such as glimps the unthinkables when ur budget opens up. Something u really want to look into is getting an isochron scepter for the glimpses or tome scours

also some cathartic adepts would be nice, since you got none creatures at the moment,
nemesis of reason isn't that expensive :)
