Gain life and drain life with this White/Black deck. Every single nonland card (and even some nonbasic lands) involve draining or gaining life. The only card that removes your own life total is Vendetta which takes advantage of your high life total for a low cost to kill any creature. All creatures have lifelink. Serra Ascendant becomes a low cost powerful creature at 30+ HP. Felidar Sovereign allows you to win the game at 40+ HP. Use Narrow Escape to protect these creatures from fatalities. Many spells like Rest for the Weary and Whitesun's Passage are instants, so if your opponent is attacking your life total to get you under these limits, you can bounce right back and foil their plans. (If you can't defend against it, be mindful of how you use your SAs as you could dip below 30 HP and get them killed off.) Celestial Mantle is another very dangerous card, since you can double your already large life total, if you can manage to hit your opponent. Great on a buffed SA or a Vampire Nighthawk (5/6 with lifelink, deathtouch, flying, and life doubling). Luminous Wake is another added bonus to creatures who already get lifelink. Includes a sideboard for countering various deck types: Condemn (creatures), Needlebite Trap (other life decks, also combos with Condemn), Exsanguinate (slow building decks), Memoricide (milling or Eldrazi decks), Solumn Offering (artifact or Eldrazi decks).
