Take advantage of the best leveler enchantments and tie them to your Level Up cards. Protect your levelers with Totem Armor and Whispersilk Cloaks. Many of these levelers have a 2-3 mana cost per level counter. Training Ground reduces the cost quite a bit, allowing you to use just one mana to level most creatures. Venerated Teacher should come out when you have several creatures already on the board, as it grants them 2 level counters when it lands. Time of Heroes buffs them up even further. All of the Umbras have Totem Armor, so these provide ample death protection, and if that isn't enough, the Whispersilk Cloaks seals them up with Shroud and Unblockable abilities. With a respectable amount of land in the deck, the Explorer's Scope does a good job of making sure the land goes directly from your library into your battlefield. You should also have a leveled up Enclave Cryptologist or two to cycle through your cards. (If you put down no land from your hand, do the EC card draw first. Otherwise, let the ES look first, and then do the draw.) For longer games, the sideboard has some other levelers, though they don't work as well with the Training Grounds enchantment. If faced with a heavy burn or death deck, the Emerge Unscathed protections can help out. Also, the Arrest / Ice Cage cards can stop bigger creature decks.
