Deck Description

This is a mono black infect deck focused on destroying the opponents blockers and leaving him/her open for a poison smacking. I thought of this after separating my black/green infect into two monos for ease of mana as it wasn't working, now they're both pretty good. Comments are always welcome.
UPDATE: I just got 2 Skithiryx and Hand of the Praetors and added them in. Also, I created a sideboard and played in at a FNM and was 6-2 and 2nd place before I had to leave.

2/22/12 EDIT: I was looking at this and saw I changed my deck in hand and updated the online version to match.

Deck discussion for Black Infect Slam on the Poison

I personally enjoy mono green infect more as it runs quicker.. just doesn't have removal. But it doesn't seem to be a problem. Have you considered Vendetta as a nice combo with virulent wound? Spread the Sickness just seems to cost too much.. Grasp of Darkness even?

First, I have a mono green infect just look at my profile. Second, you're right with spread the sickness, it costs way too much and vendetta would be a nice combo. What would you suggest for replacements?

I might just straight up replace Spread the Sickness with Vendetta.. Then just sideboard grasp against other black infects because if they're playing a good black infect deck, they have inkmoths and you might as well have something that takes out both their creatures and that darned inkmoth.
