Deck discussion for Infinite Infection Help

This is my first try at making an infection deck. The mana is probably a little off, I'm just eyeballing it at the moment. I would love to build this deck and play test it though! L

Let me know what you think I could do to improve it!

Add Assault Strobe, Teetering Peeks and other card that increase the damage... vampire's bite, virulent swipe...etc..

Infinite proliferate: clock of omens, spawning pit, myr landshaper, one of those lands that when you tap them they put a charge counter on them, and doubling season. Also, this decks weakness is flourishing defeenses.

Also, thawing glacier could replace tterramorphic expanse.

Those are all great but I'm staying in the Standard bracket.

try drowned catacomb or dragonskull summit instead of the terramorphic combo. Look into whispersilk cloak and sac the red all together. Maybe even splash some green. 2 giant growths on an ichorclaw and its over.

i like the point of Ichor rats+Inexorable Tide+Hand of Preators = 3 poison counters.
But you can also try getting it a little bit further like... Ichor rats+Inexorable Tide+Hand of Preators+Disperse+Ichor Rats=7 poison counters.
looks very nice but like intrep1d said you may try to put a little green splash to get a faster victory.

Thanks guys, the green splash defiantly makes a big difference. I played this deck last night and didn't lose, it works much faster now. Keep the suggestions coming!!

Thanks to intrep1d and Crazlok!

...With whispersilk, you know you can't try and pump a creature equiped with it, right?

yes I realize this, I have been thinking about lowering it from 4 copies to 2.

Maybe try Vines of Vastwood or Canopy Cover? You get the protection and either a block avoider in Canopy Cover or a great cheap +4/+4 in Vastwood

Vampire's bite instead of holy strength, and get rid of contagion engine or at least have less of them, they're too expensive. If you get them out they are great, but it would be a real bummer to have 2 in your opening hand. Whispersilk cloak is good, but i prefer splashing blue in my deck for distortion strike. Also, if you equip whispersilk cloak, you can't pump that creature, which is a big minus. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=102946 is my deck.

I just recently started playing and I making this deck out of cards I actually have. I agree the Vampire's Bite is better than Unholy Strength but I dont have enough of that particular card. I did drop Contagion Engine to 2, scratched Whispersilk completely and added some Blue in there.

Thanks for the help, like I said I am new and slowly learning about all these combos.

Keep em coming guys!!

Contagion clasps are my favorite infect card
And yeah the unholy strength is a waste so vampires bite is better, and maybe a groundswell instead of giant growth...

Why do decks like this keep making it to the front page? They aren't original, they aren't consistent, and they aren't good.

Especially some of the card choices here. You're running black, yet your only form of removal is Disperse? Ever heard of Doom Blade or Go for the Throat?

I don't mean to be harsh, but seeing *yet another* inconsistent infect-pump deck make it to the front page is starting to get really, really stale.

I totally agree!

You can use Into the Roil instead of Disperse. Same mana cost and effect but Into the Roil offers a kicker with draw acceleration if you have extra mana left over.

Livewire Lash works really well with infect. Its worth looking into.

Give your infect creature +2/+0 and give you opponent 2 counters just for casting Giant Growth
or 4 counters total for Distortion Strike if the creature is still alive next turn. Give your opponent 2 counters for casting a removal spell on your creature. Yes please!

Very effective equipment worth having at least 2.

My red and black infect deck if you want to take a look:

i would get rid of the green in the deck entirely and change the giant growth's for vampires bites.

I would say drop the blue instead of distortion strike you could use a green creature like taunting elf or prized unicorn, disperse I'm guessing ur trying to get ichor rats out twice, it would be more useful to add cards like invigorate, groundswell, vampires bite, vines of vastwood( similar affect to distortion strike) also consider adding rotwolf for more card draws

If your disperses are there to remove blockers why don't you use unsummon instead. It's cheaper :)

Feedback would be excellent :)

If you want unblockable creatures dump 4 infiltration lenses in, also livewire lash is insanely good on infect. And also I completely agree with MrBarrelRoll.
