I recommend some land w/ some etb effect, Izzet boil works would be awsome w/ it. Like temple of Epiphany

Definitely an interesting concept. Just a couple of things. Crush is strictly worse than Smelt, but I wouldn't want either, they're too narrow. I would put artifact hate in the board, using cards like Shattering Spree, Shatterstorm, Echoing Ruin, or Hurkyl's Recall. In your mainboard, I'd recommend cards like Electrolyze, Brutal Expulsion, Pyroclasm, or Anger of the Gods. Lands that have utility, like maybe a Desolate Lighthouse, one or two Faerie Conclaves, maybe a Wandering Fumarole, all these can be useful.
I love Izzet myself, the colors can pretty diverse in strategy, for example, it could be control through a heavy reliance on blue, but then because it has blue, the deck could become a red damage deck. Izzet could even possibly be mid range combo. I feel that this deck is really creative, but this person should use serum visions instead of opt.

Yeah I just wanted something to beat out Lantern Control. Cheap way to deal with Ensnaring bridge. I'm running three serum visions, four opt, because opt gives me the instant speeding need. Although the extra scry is nice! I have a hard time making my mind up on counters. I'm usually a B/ U control guy. But I just wanna beat Lantern hahaha.
