Deck discussion for Vampire Diaries

Needs moar Bloodlord of Vaasgoth. lol seriously though, that card is ridiculously good with the new vampires, especially with all the flying and other avoidance the new ones have (can't be blocked by humans, etc.). I'd also main-deck Olivia. If you dropped the Bloodcrazed Neonates (really not that great of a card, easily surpassed by Interloper), you could add in 2 Bloodlords and 2 Olivias. You might also want to take a look at Falkenrath Noble; he's nice when you have a Stromkirk Noble you want to attack with to beef up, but your opponent could just block and kill it... makes them choose between letting your creature get beefed up or losing a life and giving you a life. Even though Adaptive Automaton is pretty cool for this deck, I'd say its effects are marginal compared to what your creatures can do for themselves... so I'd swap in some equipment (Swiftfoot Boots is great for this kind of deck, and Wooden Stake gives you a great form of removal if you combine it with Olivia... just make their creatures vampires, then kill them if they try to block).

Fling isn't a bad idea, hadn't thought of it myself. Honestly, I'd sideboard Tezzeret's Gamble and take out Disentomb and Volt Charge altogether; I used Volt Charge early in my playtests for my own vampire deck, and the proliferate with only 2 in there just doesn't happen enough to make it worthwhile. You'll get plenty of counters on your vampires by other means. Galvanic Blast is a strictly better card than Shock in current T2, so you need to swap those in (on the off-chance you have all 3 automatons or whatever artifacts you end up with in play at once, it does 4 for the same cost as Shock's 2); I'd also swap in 2 more GBs to replace the Volt Charges. I'd have Go for the Throat main-decked and Doom Blade sideboarded, personally... but that's probably more preference than anything. Removal is important to your avoidance, so I'd also swap in 2 more of either Doom Blade or Go for the Throat for the 2 Gambits.

Even though this all sounded pretty critical, I think your deck is on the right track. BR vamps is gonna be sick in this block.

Your comment was just what I was waiting for. Suggestion with different viewpoints and well explained. Have to give a thought or two for the changes. Haven´t played MTG (or standard for that matter) for almost 2 years, and this was what I quickly got together while surfing through the new cards. Thanks for comment, will update when I feel more ready.

Not a bad deck at all, i rather enjoy it you got some nice twists in there from other vampire decks. I personally dont like Falkenrath Marauders just to expensive to cast but than again its balance by its abilities once it comes onto the field. I was wondering why you dont have Vampire's Bite or Vampiric Fury, Feast of Blood, and Urge to Feed for spells, and Blade of the Bloodchief, and Basilisk Collar just some things to look into.

I agree with PikminSlayer the adaptive automatons look nice with the ability but a Vampire deck should run smoothly enough without the includence of creatures like that. It seems like you want your deck to run Innistrad creatures but maybe add in Gatekeeper of Malakir its a nice creature with a nice kicker. Vampire Nighthawk might be a suggestion its a great card in my opinion one of the best vampire cards out there.

Well those are just some things i thought you could look into that might help but its up to you, but other than that your deck is really nice. Feel free to check out my deck if you like it happens to be called the same as yours.

Oh didn´t notice the double name. Well anyways, its aimed to be standard legal deck so it can´t have those neat cards you mentioned. Vampire Nighthawk was one my favorites during the zendikar times for example.
