Deck Description

My friends HATE this deck. They flat out refuse to play against it 1 on 1. It makes me sad but I guess that means it works well. It uses unnatural selection, Callous oppressor, and voidmage prodigy to sling your opponents creatures to counter their own spells. Knight of the mists is mean with unnatural selection too: 4 mana destroy any creature and get a 2/2 flanking then bounce it when you need to with the shard.

Deck discussion for Unnatural Selection

Haha, quite original. Ure counterspells can be worked on considering you know more about mtg than most pple, but I can understand your friends' hatred of this deck. Check out my Eternal Mage deck for details on control.

I know, there are better counterspells, like force of will, but they are like $30 a piece and I wanted to make this deck really cheap. I had the 2 cryptics and bought the rest after designing this deck and I think it cost me around $20 for the whole thing. This deck is great if you are looking for an inexpensive creature control deck, also the cryptics can be replaced with ruses, to make it really cheap. They can help bounce the knights back to your hand to play them again.

Maybe your right about ruse... that and cryptic were the only spells I thought were kinda bad. Ruse can work in this deck even though a mana leak is better in my opinion. Cryptic is bad cuz it's hard to leave 4 mana open on ure turn, and ure right about force of will. No one should use them unless they intend to make the greatest control deck in mtg history.

Mana leak is a good card but the problem is that the deck this was made to combat was monogreen land accel to huge creatures so they had a lot of mana out pretty quick and thus could pay the 3 extra, no problem. Thats the same reason Daze isn't in here. Man, what I wouldn't do though for 4 cheap Force of wills, haha. This deck would be sick with them in it. Really voidmage can help solve a lot of problems though.

nice but i remember there is like a 100 dollor counterspell but it costs 2 blue and it counters the thing and u gain mana ur next turn equil to its mana cost. :) it works really well but sadly its really hard to find i think its called mana drain or somthing like that but yeah.

I have 2 mana drains, but they are serving a better purpose. This deck can take care of itself and doesn't have high mana costs to really use mana drain to it's fullest. I got the Force of Wills that I wanted and replaced the counterspells with them.

I have 6 mana drains >_> I promised myself and my friends I'd never use them again though...They're freakin' absurdly unfair.

This is a pretty sweet deck, and unfortunately a little bit late for my "Yoink!" deck challenge. This one would probably take the cake. (Get it? TAKE! ....Sorry)
