Deck discussion for g/r undying wins A LOT

I like the build, I get that it's an undying deck, but perhaps adding Birds of Paradise for ramp wouldn't be a bad idea? I love me some Birds, personally. Huntmaster of the Fells is also always a great play for this piece of the color pie, regardless if the deck is R/G stompy or undying or, hell, even land destruction! R/G = the Huntermaster's domain. Otherwise, I like the deck quite a bit. Abusing undying is always fun!

Regarding birds: Birds die too easy with no return. Tragic slip, gut shot. Thre is PLENTY sufficient ramp with the virdian emessaries, rampant growth & solemn. with the addition of they are warm bodies to stop the tons of agressive early decks like zombies. I have played birds A LOT, and have been constantly dissipointed. I LOVE huntmaster. I really do, but this deck just does not have room. when huntmaster hits the board, he RARELY sticks arround, from my experience. I know it is unheard of playing r/g with no birds, huntmasters OR titans, but it works. Proxy it and try it out.

I don't doubt it's a solid build, it looks like it to me, with basically all dudes that are destroy-flexible. Just throwing out some dudes I'd have to seriously consider if I made a deck of this nature, but who knows, perhaps I'd pass on Birds or even Huntmaster, too. Anyway, I gotta give props just for making a brutal R/G that's different and effective anyway, good stuff, man!

Hi smn,

I see that this deck is much like your other U/G deck using very similiar mix of creatures and ramp spells
but using red spells rather than blue.

Again I think you should increase the amount of removal and but in a few higher toughness and utility creatures and spells.

+ 1 or 2 Acid Slime
- 1 or 2 Vorapede

+ 1 Thrun, the Last Troll
- 1 Solemn Simulacrum

+2 Wurmcoil Engine or maybe 1 Garruk Relentless and 1 Garruk, Primal Hunter
- 2 Flayer of the Hatebound

and maybe try some mixture of Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of War and Peace
instead of Flings.
