Deck Description

Rancor is back! I'm trying to make this a fast mono green deck since Undying + Rancor is a great combo.

If there are any artifacts that I should add, let me know. What about Main decking Ground Seal? What about Champion of Lambholt? Also considering Haunted Fengraf and Ghost Quarter.

Please give your input!

Deck discussion for Green Aggro

Your really depending on Silverheart here, but how will you deal with removal and burns? I would tell you to get rid of for and revive and get 4 sheltering word, it gives life and hexproof.

Titanic growth is not as good as giant growth, 4/4 for 2 is not as good as 3/3 for 1, and to keep 1 land untapped is easier done then two.

Hope I could be of help, take a look at my mono-green and give me some idea's please http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=361053

Since the point of Revive was to get creatures back, Sheltering Word definitely makes more sense. Undying along with Sheltering Word is a great way to deal with removal.

I know Titanic Growth isn't as good as Giant Growth, but Giant Growth won't be legal (this deck is for when M12 and the Mirrodin block rotate out).

I agree with arkillon12, your deck has a distinct lack of creatures for a Mono-Green deck. Scrap your spells, and replace them with Green Sun's Zenith, Champion of Lambholt, Predator Oozes etc.

I like Nightshade Peddlers, and Acidic Slimes, late game, if you're not crushing the opponent, giving Predator Ooze deathtouch starts giving you a major advantage, and Acidic Slime's entering play effect is one of the most useful out there.

I like Bower Passage and Naturalize (which I see you have side boarded). These are almost good enough for main board, and I recommend you consider swapping creature focused spells with threat removal.

Thrun the Last Troll, Garruk (either version) and Tree of Redemption all work really well in this deck. Don't forget a Bellowing Tanglewurm either, full board intimidate is nothing to turn your nose up at.

Here's my suggestions, hope they help.

I really wanted to run Green Sun's Zenith, Thrun, and Bellowing Tanglewurm, but they also won't be legal when M12 and the Mirrodin block rotate out.

Nightshade Peddler isn't really the direction I'm headed in. It's a great card, but It's just not necessary; I would much rather play another Strangleroot, or a couple spells.

The main point of this deck is fast damage. Rancor ensures that early damage will get through, and I'm not too concerned if my creatures die. If they die, they will just come back (and so will Rancor). I understand your concern for my lack of creatures in a mono green deck, and that sort of concerns me too. I am hoping that Undying solves that problem for me though. Thanks for the input!
