Deck Description

Haha, its probably not the new thing in standard but it sure is fun! My friend and I made this deck today and it play tested surprisingly well, (and its cheap!) Please tell me what you think, how you think it will do at FNM, how to improve it, what to take out, and you can go ahead and talk all the crap you want about it if that makes you happy.

How to Play

This deck was made mainly as an anti control deck, reverberate, brimstone volley, and other things to make every spell your opponent casts work to your advantage, while taking them down with guttersnipes. It worked pretty well against the aggro deck that it was tested against as well. 2-2
The best combo ever!: Nivix Cyclops + Spell Rupture = super mana leak. (its conditional, but it gets really funny when you play a string of spells on their turn first, making x become 7,10, or 13 (and for only 1 as long as you also have an elect romancer)
Cackling Counterpart helps add whatever creature you need to the field and has a flashback, so it works well with guttersnipes already on the field.

the sideboard is not complete because I honestly don't know whats in there right now. probably anti aggro or midrange stuff.

Deck discussion for The New Thing in Standard!

I would probably put pillar of flame in main board, to get rid of all the voice of resurgence etc in standard right now.

Mizzium mortats is a must!:)
I run fluxchargers instead of nivix because of the evasion and the fact that mizzium mortars can't take him out! Chrck out my izzet deck I'm currently using! http://www.mtgvault.com/ozias04/decks/izzet-controlburn/
I know you're trying to keep iit budget but steam vents and sulfur falls really help!:)

Fluxcharger is pretty rad, I'd listen to him.

Fluxcharger is really nice with flying and 5 toughness, however flipping his power and toughness leaves him much more open to all other forms of instant burn such as searing spear and izzet charm, and it also it does not play as well off of casting multiple instants on the same turn which would make Nivix Cyclops much larger power wise and still keep him relatively safe toughness wise, i will listen to what you say though and try them both. and mizzium mortars.
