So I've just been drafting the heck outta esper for the last however long we've been able to play Gatecrash. What I wanted to do is bring the love into standard backed by some of the silliest and most reliable creatures in standard currently. Thus Humans found their way unto Esper, and did not get Etherium implanted into themselves, though with Thraben Doomsayer's ability I can't be so sure about him... can you see the humunculus resemblace?
Its an awkward control aggro deck... It plays differently against all decks because it can do two things depending on the board state and what you are playing against. You can selectively board wipe your opponent without much fear early game and just shut them down late game. Or you can sit behind giant lifelink dudes and allow them to play something occasionally. This deck is supposed to be as versatile as possible to allow you to win.
