The deck originally came out of the idea of a red white blue battalion tap down deck that evolved to become what the list is now.
The main idea is drop small creatures and mess with your opponent until you reach about 4 mana. By that point you should be dropping your larger beat sticks and utilities and triggering your battalion every combat, while in the meantime detaining and slowing down your opponent.
