My first attempt at building a Standard Deck--any feedback would be fabulous!

I like your deck a lot. I don't know what your budget is, but throw in a dissipate or two, maybe 2 hero of bladehold, and 3 fiend hunters, and think twice would be good in here so you can a little more card draw other than ponder, and probe. If you can try to get 2-3 snapcaster mages, and 2 geist of saint thraft. to fit some of this stuff in i would take out the automaton, and the dagger for 3 fiend hunters and 2 think twices. I'd also take out the elite vanguards for 2 heroes and 2-3 snapcaster mages, or 2 geist of saint thraft. But all in all its a pretty solid deck you have, i just want to help you make it better, and to where you'll be able to smash some face. People will be like "Did this new guy just whoop my ass, but he's new to magic. WTF!!!!!" I hope this helps you out.
