Deck Description

Okay so the main idea of this deck is to either wait out the game REEEEEEEALLY long using your powerful defending creatures and small burn until you rack up INSANE amounts of mana for a 1-shot player burn OR use Heartless Hidetsugu once to wipe out all of your opponents (but this requires them to be at at least 42 life). The funniest way to have this happen is to Bazaar Trade Bottle Gnomes, Dragon's Claw, etc to your opponent so that they can have more life.

Comments welcome :)

Deck discussion for Heartless Hidetsugu EDH

I don't get it. If they have 42 health don't you deal 21 damage to yourself and them?

when u tap heartless hidetsugu both players take half there total life points away so if your at 20 and the opponent has 40 they would take 20 dmg and you would take 10 dmg rounded down.

Both of you are correct. In normal rules they would still have enough lfie to be alive no matter what BUT in EDH rules, if your commander ever does 21 damage to an opponent, regardless of their life total, they lose. The damage is cumulative too. So this guy is a 1-shot EDH killer even though your opponent will still have life left.

LOL... In EDH rules, you need 21 commander COMBAT damage. Dealing damage with a commanders abilities are not considered as commander damage. Or else, it would be too powerful -_- Like Niv-Mizzet.
