Deck discussion for Ascendency Combo

nice, I like the inclusion of glittering wish. Gives you a lot of flexibility. That being said you have essentially no removal and it looks to me like you need atleast 3 mana dorks to get the ball rolling. Also you need to hope you opponent doesn't counter or destroy jeskai ascendancy with all your heart. Pyroclasm or naturalize end you, lets not even get started on abrupt decay. I get you have some removal sideboard, the problem is that it just that it means you will lose the first game you play to any well placed piece of removal. My advice is mainboard some control. Maybe pact of negation, so that you don't get pyroclasmed when you are vulnerable, maybe simic charm, to save you from all spot removal, maybe even boros charm to save you from board wipes.

Well you only really need 1 minimum for mana dorks but 2 is recommended. It has a consistent turn 3 win as is and it's rare to see enchantment removal in sideboards in modern decks. Even if they have it, you basically have 7 copies in your deck and they normally run 1-2 sideboard to begin with. This deck did just go 16-0 at SCG and it's being considered ban worthy already. It's a fast, consistent combo deck that normally can't be stopped cause noone knows how to yet.

I just play against more jund control. That's the deck thats at the top of the heap in my shop and its nasty. Almost everything is a removal spell except for kitchen finks. So annoying. its always 1st turn either pass of thoughtseize, or bolt the nice mana dork i just played. next turn kill the next thing i try to play. turn 3 kitchen finks, and from there it depends on whether he wants to play removal or things. Anyway, I don't think that it will last to long, or it will last a long time and jund control will pyroclasm for days.

ugh. this freaking deck man. its so brokenly annoying. the best way ive found to handle it so far is to play whip flare or pyroclasm. however sometimes it goes off on turn two which takes you out of the game before even that comes online. the best way to handle it is already banned in mental misstep and that ain't never coming back. it would stop the deck before it even gets off the ground by leg sweeping the birds and hierarch turn one and throwing their whole game into a tail spin.

but luckily for this deck most cards that stop it aren't practical at all and will mean an almost guaranteed game one win accept against hate bears in which case its probably double scoop for this deck after the costs start going up. especially if in game two some hard removal show up.

all in all i very much like the deck . also the grapeshot in there is a rather fun win method.
