Nice leveler deck. I also run one abusing endless whispers/leveler and i like the use of red (mines mono black). Have you thought about using spawning pit and cards like brainspoil? the pit can drop on turn 2 and you can fetch for the leveler on turn 3 with transmute (turn 1 if you drop ritual). it helps with the confusion on the opponents face when you drop a brainspoil on turn 3 for a leveler. rediculous.

its true, all the creatures are 1/1s...maybe some consume spirit and some dauthi slayer or something.
Also might want to try Rathi Trapper so that you can add that "Tap target creature" ability, since it looks like the only way you'll get to use your Royal Assassin and your Assassinates is if you're attacked or your opponent uses creature abilities that require them to tap. Also you can use Blackmail on yourself to get the discard ability or even better would be Strongarm Tactics from Onslaught. Both of you discard and that way you get your discard effect and your opponent loses a creature from his/her hand or they lose 4 life.
You should try Death Stroke, It does the same thing as Assassinate but for 1 less.
Not a bad deck. I wouldn't mind seeing it in action.

id add a bit more discard that isnt in creature form - hymn to tourach, more duress/ostracize. other than that it seems pretty solid, the nyxathid is amazing with the right amount of hand hate.

Oh, nevermind. Magicthegathering.com officially declares Dauthi Mercenary as a "Creature - Dauthi Knight Mercenary" I guess now I have no excuse as to why there aren't any in this deck...other than the fact that I don't own any haha.
I'd have Dauthi Mercenary in this but, oddly enough, he isn't a mercenary. I think that is really odd. I'd love to see other mercenary decks. In my opinion its just not a deck type you see anymore.
Thanks. I mainly play casually anyway and haven't competed in a tournament in some time, but you're right. I would like to take this baby for a spin tounsament wise. That being said: -3x Demonic Tutor -4x Swallowing Plague -1x Dark Ritual -2x Swamp +3x Diabolic Tutor +4x Consume Spirit +3x Duress I'll try these fixes out and see whether or not it helps, thought I'm sure they will.
