the only things keeping it out of modern are careful study and opt, if you have any ideas on replacements please post them in the comments.i would like to try and make this into modern format, so please don't suggest non-modern cards.

So if you go 4 of all the instant and sorcery's you could drop opt and be down to 3 study. This is a sick idea. Worries would be on a Doom blade or any instant that could kill or exile him before he can do his stuff. Maybe add some type of counter like dissipate or even redirect to protect your weird while he buffs. then you could drop the 3 study and still have a reallly low cost high draw rate deck.

I might be missing something but I feel like Ponder/Preordain should be in this deck. They're blue so they can help you dig for the Paradise Mantle if it is not in your opening hand. Also Dispel is a nice counterspell at 1U mana
ponder/preordain/brainstorm are really good cards. some of the best in fact, and that is why they are modern banned. :'( thanks dil and maso added a few dispells to keep him safe.
Artful Dodge, Mizzium skin would be useful adds. The Dodge gets you through your opponents creatures, the Mizzium skin gives you a counter to quick removal.
I'd also take a look at other creatures that give you a similar effect that would give you other options incase you don't draw down on a Weird. Kiln Fiend, Nivix Cyclops, and Wee Dragonauts would all be useful for this purpose.
