Deck Description

Play creatures out at a rapid pace with glimpse of nature. Hopefully you win before they wrath of god or something. Still fun either way.

Deck discussion for What just happened???

even with all the affinity, itll take along time before you can get creatures out that will do significant damage..i guess youll just have to assign blockers for quite a few rounds..but youre right about the wrath of god or damnation..the thing is, they both have a casting cost of 4 and by turn 4 you still wont have any good creatures down, so ..i dont know..i like all the cheap creatures but its kind of a one stragedy deck

Not necessarily RubiaKr3w, if ssgoku67 plays Cranial Plating and Lightning Greaves this deck could work.

Other than that the odds are pretty much even either way.

I dont see having green run this deck and not at least throwing in some fog or moments peace to keep you alive until can dish out the damage, also consider a splash of blue for Master Transmuter. That could get your Darksteel Colossus out a lot faster.

Well, you don't always need huge creatures out with this deck, sometimes you can play out a hand of creatures and overwhelm on turn two. However, I made a few changes to accelerate the deck a bit and give alternative strategies mostly to make it more consistant.

i thought lightning greaves doesn't protect against wrath of god because lightning greaves protect from "target spells" but wrath of god just says "destroy all creatures" meaning there is no designated target?

i think it looks good, but it needs more mana acceleration, it will have a hard time running on only 10 real mana, but then again, with the affinity for artifacts and the kobolds or whatever it could work

I disagree that this deck needs more mana accel, considering that your mana curve is pretty solidly at about zero. I'd consider cutting out DS Colossus. He's just too slow, unless you luck into getting Mycocinth at the right time. And I honestly believe you could cut the Cranial Plating too. I don't know what you'd replace them with (Welding Jar might not be a bad choice, or Paradise Mantle)

The real trick, I suppose, is always mulliganing until you have glimpse of nature. Everything else hinges on that card.

Lighning greaves is not to protect fro Wrath of God it is for the killing blow.
If ssgoku67 manages to get all the creatures out in one go then why not kill in one turn with Cranial and Greaves combo.

On the whole good deck. I'm thinking of doing one similar to this with a few alterations.

I dropped two overwhelm for lightning greaves, in my experience I end up with too many overwhelm most of the time, and lightning greaves would be better to front load more damage on turn 2 or 3.

Thanks for the comments guys.
