Deck Description

We have Dragons of Tarkir incoming in a month, so here are the Tarkir Dragons. They like each other and don't like dying... if you can get them into play. When working on a Sultai Concept, I became interested in either a Sultai delve oriented deck or a Sultai Dragon deck... which became this five @$$ color madness...

Would love to get Fearsome Awakening in there somewhere...

How to Play

Sigh... This is where it gets tricky, and I'm not sure this is really a viable deck concept so feedback is welcome and helpful.

The core focus of play is to get as many Dragons in play as possible, meaning that you need lots of mana, fast, in all five colors. As such there were a few mechanics that I felt would be core:

Untapping, Scry, Card Draw

As such, the Instants/Sorceries are all capable of one of the above with the exception of Crucible of Fire. Tri-lands were chosen to cover a wide range of mana colors, though perhaps a different shared color between the two would be better. Creatures beyond the Dragons are all used for mana ramp. The idea is to flood the field with mana then flood the field with dragons and kill everything. The weakness that I see at this point is that there's very little defensive quality to the deck, and unless you draw like a boss you could end up dying before you get anything out (though the mana curve doesn't look *that bad* on paper)

In addition, the Side deck at this point allows for just about any combination of Dragon cards in the deck with special emphasis put on Dragons which boost each other rather than Dragons that have an effect on death. Perhaps the mono-colored Dragons should be abandoned in favor of their more powerful counterparts???

Edit: Still working on it a tad, I like the addition of Crucible of Fire to make the Dragons even more of a threat when they start dropping, but will have to playtest. Might bring it out in favor of lowering the threat level.
