Been playing my Tarkir decks with a friend and have been finding that my Jeskai deck is just overwhelmingly powerful given its OTT burn spell list. I wasn't quite content to just leave it there, so I pulled together a Temur equivalent. Doesn't have quite as much burn spell power, but this seems a more balanced take on how to play Temur than my last. I also prefer the lower number of cards meaning that the deck is less of a hodge-podge and more focused.
Use Rattleclaw Mystic to ramp out fatties: Atarka, Sagu Mauler, and Savage Knuckleblade. Temur Ascendancy makes them even scarier as well as giving you card draw. Use your instants to keep tempo. I know there aren't quite enough of them to make a major difference, but this isn't a control deck!If things aren't going well, the sideboard alows you to shift up your instants to better counter your opponent's deck. Of particular importance could be the combination of Icefeather Aven, Plummet, and Naturalize.Some other strong options would include Magma Jet if you want less burn and more card draw, Force Away instead of Icy Blast (more direct bounce spell but less global and less synergy with your fatties), or Anticipate if you really want the card draw. Other options seem to me to be more based on choice i.e. instead of Stubborn Denial do you want Negate, Cancel, or some other arbitrary counterspell.There is no subtlety and no particular strategy for combos here. Just drop what you can as you can and make them hurt.
