Didnt see any really good blightsteel decks out yet, so I figured I'd throw up one of my ideas. It's like a polymorph deck I made in the past however this has answers to most fast decks. Fogs and tons of counterspells for U/W control and many aggro decks that just love to swing out at me. Possible turn 3 Blightsteel. If not, theres tons of delay in the form out counters. edit: Misread Shape Anew, Everflowing chalice drops for 0, sac for shape. Use trinket mage to get it out turn 3. Turn 1: Forest, BoP/Llanowar Turn 2: Island/Forest, (if island drop trinket if in hand to grab a Chalice) Cultivate Turn 3: Forest/Island, Shape Anew the Chalice or Trinket Mage or stall till you get Trinket/Chalice/Shape Turn 4: Bash with the Blightsteel(Semi likely to play out this way. See Beyond so that you can get blightsteel out of your hand if you draw into it. Sideboard Ive formulated is mostly artifact hate since the set is mostly artifacts and infect. Cept Green Sun's Zenith which is there till I can find a place for it mainboard.

K misread the card, I thought it acted as a polymorph, no problem though, some trinket mages and everflowing chalice solves that good and quick
I would be careful becuase you have a 66% chance to shape into another chalice, or if Blightsteel in hand 50% chance. You might want to run Inkmoth or add whiteand run Masters Call. On a more expensive note run Silverskin Armor or Liquimetal Coating. While I like this deck it san obvious one, enough so to make it one of the recommended combos in the Besieged handbook but out by WOTC. Its fun, but wont be comp.
I thought about the hitting of chalices so I dropped them to 2 same with blightsteel, I have a 100% chance to hit chalice with trinket mage giving me a 66% chance to hit a blightsteel. Also, if I added liquidmetal coating or Silverskin armor, wouldnt those also be artifacts thus making more targets for shape to hit. Not sure tho I may be missing something.
