Deck Description

Simic, one of those guilds that I always overlook. Recently, I've been liking Simic a lot though, there is usually a lot of synergy with these two colors. I tried combining the old Simic ability and the new one, tell me what you think!

Basic point of the deck is to stack up those +1/+1 counters, and go to town with them. Graft and Evolving works surprisingly well with each other (the name? Graft + Evolving = Graftvolving?) Fungal Behemoth is AWESOME in this deck, it just gets bigger and bigger...

This deck is MODERN!

And the budget maximum is $10 in the red box.

Deck discussion for [Budget] Graftvolving Simic

This is cool! I had a similar idea with a deck that I made a little while ago, though it uses bioshift and cytoplast root-kin. Tell me what you think: http://www.mtgvault.com/tolencual77/decks/modern-simic-stuff/

I completely forgot about those cards...
I'll look at your deck.
Thanks!

Not bad at all- I like the utilization of Omniban here! I think that some Arcbound creatures couldn't hurt here- the Slith, Worker, and Stinger could all find a home here as chump blockers, and you could even stick some counters on them and just move it on to something else when their time is up. Strionic Resonator could be interesting in this deck, but the extra mana it requires makes it less of an attractive option. Give // Take and Bred for the Hunt are both nice draw engines (you have a notable lack of draw for a blue deck), and these are both nice +1/+1 interactive options. Nice job ^.^

These were some nice suggestions! However, the Arcbound modular only works with artifact creatures :(
But loved Bred for the Hunt. Thanks!

Haha, I've always thought about using Modular in mono-artifact decks, so it never crossed my mind that there might be restrictions on what it could pass counters to. Nice catch!

Haha, it's alright.
I thought the same for the longest time too!

As cool as the card is, i would honestly side board omnibian for a deck that is very creature ability based and add another renegade krasis and mana leak (:
the mana leaks are pretty amazing in any deck they can get in, and that krasis card deserves a full set in this deck as much as any other card i could think of ^-^ whenever it evolves, it basically evolves all other creatures with evolve and your graft creatures all get buffed gauruntee. krasis should for sure be a fulll set in this deck, and thats really my only real critique (:

My only problem with Krasis is that I don't have enough creatures large enough to trigger it. Omnibian can turn my Krasis into a 3/3 which gives it more chance to trigger evolve even if it has already been evolved many times.
I agree Mana Leak is good, but this deck should focus less on control and more on creatures.
Thanks for the critique, I will consider them for future changes!

have you considered elusive krasis aswell? (: put forced adaptation on him for some pretty amazing results XD
also, what is the point of omnibian in the deck? :p

the reason i question omnibian is because you could easily replace him and bred for the hunt for VOREL OF THE HULL CLADE :DDDDDDD

Vorel sounds cool... I will have to work him into this deck...
