Deck Description

My second attempt at multiplayer deck.
This time, however, it is Boros.
Most important card of the deck: Personal Sanctuary.
All of the cards work with it. When you have it out, let your cards deal damage to EVERYONE, while skipping over you because of Personal Sanctuary.
Use Rest for the Weary to heal yourself from random attacks from creatures.
Inferno, Day of Judgement, and Earthquake to clear the board of pesky critters.

For those that want to make this deck even more awesome... look at the SB, these are cards that cost too much for my budget, but are still awesome in the deck.

Disclaimer: This deck doesn't target, that usually causes one thing, YOU become the target, because you're damaging everyone. Also, not my fault if your friends aren't your friends anymore you after playing this deck.

This deck is LEGACY!
I'm trying to keep the price (red box) below $10.

Deck discussion for [Budget] Personal Sanctuary

Interesting deck- I like how the lifegain and removal are in here to offset some random creature damage. Due to the nature of your kill cards, I think that this deck will kill very fast with sanctuary out.

I would suggest adding:
Manabarbs
Ankh of Mishra
**Spiteful Visions**

Each of these punish only your enemy with the sanctuary out, and two of them make using lands less desirable for your opponent. Spiteful visions is great here, because it is a Howling Mine that gets you some extra damage. Keep making these great decks!

I really like those ideas!
I added in Manabarbs and Ankh...
Thanks!

Sphere of Safety may help. Perhaps something to draw cards? I have a Manabarbs/Personal Sanctuary deck you can look at. Maybe it will give you ideas http://www.mtgvault.com/1111222334/decks/manabarbs-sanctuary/

I really like the deck, the sanctuary setup is nice. Ever thought of enlightened tutor to in it? it can search for your sanctuaries or if you already have one, any of your other enchantments or artifacts. Maybe take out inferno (seem a little many costly for this deck IMHO) and one or two of the time bomb, since, you will be able to search for them with the Tutor you won't need as much of a chance to draw. Just an idea. I like the way it will play though +1 ( i guess the idea takes away from the Budget build though you could check out Wild research, its cheap)

Enlightened tutor is nice, but it costs too much for this deck.
I'll test Wile Research out and see how it does.
Thank you!

I really like the concept of this deck, I actually built a similar deck recently which has a little more cash put into it but it works quite well.

great deck though, love the manabarbs!

Jinxed Choker should help this deck, and is a very "budget minded" addition. I was working on a version of the deck using Land Destruction - Armageddon, with Ankh and Zu-Zu, the punisher, plus other LD spells and white fog effects, and tutoring for the sanctuary. Flamebreak might also fit you deck, if not for the budget aspect. Nice Deck

Thanks for the suggestion! I like Jinxed Choker!
I'll stick it in the SB and test it out for later!

looks like a good deck in theory. But if I played this in a multiplayer I'm sure I would get gang banged by all the other players. :(

Haha, this deck works when people don't gang up and completely deracinate you.
It'll take a little convincing that you're hurting everyone, so they don't have to hurt you... of course, this deck is mostly theory haha.

actually, I think this deck works good in multiplayer or one on one. scarring your opponents into doing anything is a delicious idea!

So this is one of my favorite decks to play. It does in fact work and it works well. It doesn't matter if it's multiplayer or 1v1 it's loads of fun. The last time I looked at this deck there weren't any Jinxed Chokers in it. I modified it slightly and added Ruric Thar, the Unbowed. It does kind of mess with the mana but when he hits the battlefield it's easy game over. Plus, he's easy on the wallet. I wonder if you might give some suggestions for keeping the theme of the deck the same but adding in him? What would you add/take away to make it work consistently with Ruric Thar? Thanks.

Since you're playing Ruric Thar, that would make this into a Naya deck. A Naya deck like this means Tamanoa is obligatory haha. You can take out the random life gain (Rest for the Weary), or Time Bomb if you need extra slots. If you need anymore help just ask! :)

Wow...what a cool idea. My friends and I play a lot of multiplayer during the week after work. Its a grea tway to just relax and we are always building crazy decks to mess with each other. This deck will make meHATED...

then again...im the guy that played a Stasis Deck in a group game once and thought I was going to get punched in the face...haha
