Lots of cheap spells and early pressure with Delver/Blistercoil, enough counters to protect the early beaters and some direct damage with Guttersnipe/cheap draw spells.

Deck discussion for Standard Izzet

Just my preference, but I feel like you could use Goblin Electromancer here; as he makes many spells more playable than usual; mizzium mortars, negate, think twice, and things like searing spear all become one drops. That's power.

that is true, its just that is not as aggressive as I would like. I have dealt 3 or 4 damage a turn with Blistercoil and cheap draw spells... which for a 1 drop I believe its pretty impressive.

Good, but I won't use the Weird... "Think Twice" is only worth with miracles, 'cuz it's instant & U can do it twice to trigger the miracle ability...

U gonna' need 3 more Mortars, than make sideboards & put there cards like "Negate" & such...

The thing with the weird is that it is a plan B in case I don't have the delver, it is pretty powerful in this deck because of the lot of cheap spells like think twice that it triggers the +1/+1 of the Weird and 2 direct damage with Guttersnipe, and I can do it twice because of the flashback.

As it is I have been undefeated online, I will test it in next week FNM once I finish building it.

One of the things that I did in the pre-release was to swing with a 1/1 blistercoil and if they didn't block, follow it up with a Dynacharge or 2. Personally, I would keep the wierd. Maybe add some copy spells (chandra -2, overload mizzium mortars.) Hypersonic Dragon would give you a flier and the ability to flash a sorcery.

U lack finishers & Think Twice is only good for miracles... U gonna' have to drop Blistercoil, or 2 of it & 1 Snap, 1 Delver, or may be 1 Gutter... ...than add 4 Thunderous Hellkite, or 3 of it & 1 Niv-Mizzet...

Drop Essence Scatter, put Negate in the sideboards & add Dissipate in the main, it's good against grave decks & it's effective in any & every situation...

The mana base is a fail... Use 4 island & 3 Mountain instead...

you really should drop the weirds and add talrands it helps much much more than the weird BY FAR

and maybe drop the snapcaster mages. it only makes a spell flashback, and add goblin electromancer. goblin electromancer+guttersnipe+talrand= fucking insane amounts of damage.
