Built around outlast and +1/+1 counters. The aim is to spread some keywords around on all your creatures. Firstly first strike for survival and secondly flying for evasion. Also deathtouch and lifelink for over all awesomeness. Threw in some citadel siege to help spread out some more counters, feat of resistance to save my creatures (+ it gives a counter ^.^) and harsh sustenance to utilize that it's a kinda creature heavy deck (it's neato to get some creature removal or extra damage and some life gain (that's like everything this deck aims to do in one card)).
I feel like this deck kinda spin from being defensive around turn 4-5 to become aggressive. Turns 1-4 usually just is playing creatures and lands, using eventual leftover mana to outlast. After I've played the first CMC 4 card I usually feel like I'm in a position to attack, I should have some creatures out and most of these have one or more of first strike, flying, lifelink and deathtouch. I use the citadel siege to make sure all creatures have at least one +1/+1 counter, I also use it to plan where the +1/+1 counters from dragonscale general will be placed.Battle Brawler is maybe the odd card out, but I've found it's kinda effective in this deck. As a CMC 2 card I usually get much value out of it, I have many white permanents and the +1/+0 and first strike really can save me in the early game. With citadel siege and feat of resistance I can give it some +1/+1 counters for extra badass.
