This deck is designed for players new to Magic who maybe don't have a lot to invest in the game yet and want to get a feel for the game. Including Kaheera and Mirri, this deck totals to about $35, which may be a little bit rich for some beginners, but this deck lacks in almost no areas. Starting someone on a tribal Cat deck could be fun for them and for you, so I thought, why not? This deck also teaches them about the new companion mechanic and planeswalkers with passives and active abilities. I don't know, I just thought it would be a fun project.
This deck is pretty simple to play, because it's designed for beginners. The whole deck is midrange aggro, so the basic idea is to play a bunch of cats, then beef them up with Icon of Ancestry, Oath of Ajani, and Ajani himself, and then swing for damage.
