only thing i can say about this one is i don't like the only 2 land x.x.. you seem your gonna be mana screwed for most if not all hand draws =/.

This is why the scale shall remain Wither>Infect for a nice long time. If they had made an infectious Bob I might have tried it, but I probably wouldn't since it's easier to stick with normal damage. As fetches, and suicidal tendencies are still prevalent in Legacy.

Why would Wither on Bob be good?
Wither damage is just plain better than standard damage. It's like standard damage, but it sucks to block...even indestructible blockers will eventually die to a creature with wither. You give that boost to Bob, who is already one of the most useful cards in the game and it would be madness!
ghave + Perimiter captain YES. that was completely devoid of grammer, but seriously. YES. anyway, this looks like a fun deck. kinda funny that it's wither control, yet only has 2 wither creatures... and i have no idea why you included ghave + perimiter captain, but honestly, who needs a reson? XD and where is oran-reif, the vastwood? also, why dont you drop a melira or 2 for quillspike?
Ghave is so much better as a finisher than I even thought he could be. The craziest use I've found for him actually is when I have Urborg and Kormus Bell. I can tap the "swamps" for the mana to sac. them for counters...With Winter Orb it's just that much more insane =P Also, Winter Orb + Crucible of Worlds + Rishadan Port = dick move of the week. Think about it =]

Eh, while I like Pentavus, he is much less versatile compared to Ghave =]
this comment makes me sad. ghave is for 5, pentavis is for 7, ghave turns all of your creatures with +1/+1 counters into more of him because he can remove from anyone and add to anyone. plus, he is a legendary fungus.
Midnight banshee might not be too bad a choice to add in, it's a neat little wither creature, certainly fucks most creatures over that aren't black, but yours should be safe anyhow with melira. Cool deck tho, i'm a fan of wither as well =p
I originally had the Banshee in here, but then switched to Harbinger of Night. HoN is less expensive to cast, and has a slightly more global effect. Overall it works a bit better for the control aspect that I'm looking for =]
thats understandable, especially since banshee is useless vs an all black deck other than being a 5/5 wither =p get them combos rolling a little quicker
Exactly. The one wither card I really wish I could find a way to squeeze in here is Kulrath Knight, but alas, there's just no room =[
how needed is crucible of worlds in this deck or smokestack? maybe squeeze in the knight by taking one of those out? cause damn thats a sick little card, talk about total creature shutdown in a deck like this

This is really really good. And i completely agree with wither thing. Maybe adding some dark rituals would speed it up? and add another flourishing defence? i just a thought to consider. Wither, same effect as infect. Just doesn't piss off veteran players for winning by doing 1/2 the damage to them that would normally be required.
So what your really saying is wither is worse than infect but it won't make your opponent cry? If your opponent's feelings mattered there wouldn't be blue counter decks, black card stealer decks and red land destruction decks

That's a really nice deck. .....if you're playing it - I wouldn't wanna comeup against it at all. Any reason why you're only playing one Winter ORb?
