Deck Description

Idea I had for a classic Filth deck, with modern tricks.

How to Play

The deck works by a multi-layered graveyard synergy. You have things that work or get stronger by putting things into your 'yard. You have other things that are already strong that can be "cheated" into play FROM your 'yard. Dump things in, get things out, and always swing away with wild abandon.

Deck discussion for Murder Train A-comin'

That song is one of many reasons metal players should learn how to play slide.

This deck is pretty slick, but I'm honestly surprised you stuck with only two copies of Berserk. With the 2:4 setup with Grisly and Mulch it makes sense, it's just I'm still used to every Filth player running the full set.

Filth is starting to ween out the full 4 set of 'Zerk actually. Granted most do a 3/3 split with Mox, but as you know, I like my Mox. Also, jokes aside I think the 4th Mox allows more consistent ramping from Deathrite, which is important.

It's definitely amazing with Deathrite, and I can understand moving away from Berserk. It's a great card, but pump is aging a bit, and outside of 10L it isn't as pretty anymore.

And yet, a 16/8 Soulgorger with trample is nothing to sneeze at =P

It is no doubt that Grisly Salvage is a major boon to Filth decks, or B/G graveyard decks in general. I do wonder, however, about the usefulness of Grim Backwoods over a secondary Dryad Arbor, or something else entirely (What that would be, I do not know). I feel like with the other major boon to Filth, Deathrite Shaman, proving to be so powerful, a second or even third Dryad Arbor could come in useful.

That's not such a bad idea...

I think I'll try out having 2 and see how it works from there.

Excellent work! Very cool to see a graveyard focused deck that is neither Re-Animate or Dredge.
Also!
The poems are back, and so am I

Tell me if there was a hilarious apple in its mouth!
Also, what sauce it was glazed in. That sounds incredible.

I would suggest 'Llanowar Mentor' for a more steady Discard, it combo´s well with Bloodghast, Vengevine, the Goyf AND feeds your Gorger, but I´m sure you´ve already tweaked this to perfection. Once more I *salute you, surewhynot ^_^
