Deck Description

My latest idea applied to my Iso-Pox frame. This one has a large focus on pushing the envolope for how much mana denial and mana burden I can induce.

How to Play

If you don't already know how to play Extraction, much less Iso-Pox, then you really just shouldn't play this deck. It's not something you simply show someone how to play, it's something you need to learn how to play.

Deck discussion for Wave of Mutilation

Looks good. Its a massive deck though with a lot going on. Sitting here looking at it thinking what i would have taken out or replaced:-)
Have been looking through a lot of your decks lately and have to say youre a very consistent deck maker. Been playing now for almost 20 years and still people surprise me.Have a good day further.

I'm not sure about that pox split, it feels a bit dessert layer-esque. It increases the amount of mana denial, and therefore burden, but to be honest the best way to push that envelope is probably to go back to a 2:4 mix, or maybe a five count for the poxes.
It just seems a bit awkward.

Also, you can never smile too much. Especially when it messes with people.

It's the split that's always worked best for me to be honest, through endless tests, despite it looking awkward (And I will admit, on paper it LOOKS awkward). I think in the end it comes down to preference really, either running 2/1 big/little pox or dropping Big Pox for a full 4 of Smallpox.

And it looks like Jimmy is back... Lovely. What is it about you that attracts the trolls man?

Oh do go on, I love watching you kill off your brain cells with such inane drivel, it's quite the show. It's a mind-numbing experience for you, and a mild cathartic for me.

I think I attract trolls because I make them mad =P

I can see that, it's just you always get the stupid ones it seems. Granted, it's free entertainment while I wait for Game of Thrones to continue, but I wouldn't mind seeing them if they put some effort towards creativity for it.

Also, I can dig it with the poxes. I find myself going to the 2:4 a lot of times in game two nowadays, and it's starting to make me think I never should have left it. Especially now that Depths is a thing again... Cast ALL of the poxes!

I DO get the stupid ones...Just once I'd like to be trolled by an intelligent person =/

Depths being a thing again is why this runs 4 Wastelands...

Depths being a thing again is why I'm running the XX-Lands suite in a few frames for testing. 4 Wasteland, 4 Rishadan Ports, and a Ghost Quarter. I refuse to let that nuisance bite me again...

And I think the smartest trolling this site got was probably Awz?, and that wasn't mean spirited thankfully. Just a dude who liked the ever broken combo of Bonesaw and Storm Crow.

Man, I do miss Awz?. That guy was hilarious, perfect example of a smart troll.

Hm why waste the energy on something that primal like carnal55? Just ignore it and maybe its just gonna go away.
Like blinking spirit dawg. Isnt there an admin that can just showe a finger up his arse and remove him from the game for good?

Dont know if this disturbes the synergy in the deck but i have checked out some cards for my own pox concept.
Im arguing with myself using horizon canopy and would like your opinion if it was supposed to work in this deck.

I suppose it could work in here yeah. I like to use Riftstone Portal over it since it has a more global effect.

Understand that. Just thought about the card draw effect would be a good advantage:-)

Hey,how is puppy training going? Could you take a look at an edh deck i made? It is second one and i need an opinion of how well you think it would work, and if anything should be fixed. http://www.mtgvault.com/douryu/decks/animated-army/

Hello again. Starting my own Pox adventure now and will post it soon.
Just want to ask you this:
In this deck what would be your best draw and how would you play it out.
From my experience Pox decks never go to the top but they are very interesting to play.
If you disagree please let me know and tell me why. Maybe i have missed something on my way:-)

Well, I know this might not be the answer you were hoping for, but there isn't really a best draw. There almost never is for control decks. Aggro decks clearly have best hands as those "god hands" lead to the most damage potential in the shortest time. Same with combo decks, but instead of creature damage, they have spells. Control decks, even Extraction, are very reactive instead of proactive...Different decks require different methods to control.

Let me know when you have your list up and running though, I'd love to take a look at it =]

I´ve been pondering about this masterpiece for some time, and I made (or I tried to make) a Stax Pox.

I proxied this, and dear god its brutal !

This. Is. Perfection.

Could I ask you, sure, to delve upon my take? You´ve already commented on it, and advice taken, but it has changed a bit since.

So I took another one of your awesome archetypes and repurposed it like with Winter Void. I'd like to get your opinion.
