Deck Description

The basis of this deck is to mill out your opponent as well as have him take damage for every card milled in this way.... pretty basic premise

How to Play

As soon as you can get your Duskmantle Guildmage out.. then mana ramp if you can till you can activate his first ability and then drop your mill cards (etc. Tome Scour, Glimpse, Dream Twist, Mind Sculpt).
.... be sure to hang onto the Psychic Strikes incase someone wants to counter one of your Glimpse's .... not only will you mill them 10 from the glimpse, but 2 more from the strike and if your guildmage is active... then 12 damage as well

Deck discussion for Black/Blue Mill

I would take out 4 Paranoid Delusions and add 4 Breaking // Entering
As well as take out the invisible stalkers and add something to block with, maybe Wall of Frost?
I would ignore some of the smaller mill in favor of the larger, as well as add another means of winning. Most decks will have a theme, but it isn't always good to focus 100% on that theme. My deck is standard and I haven't dabbled in modern nearly at all, but I'll link it here, http://www.mtgvault.com/deidrick/decks/high-quality-ub-mill/
It has both mill and some decent creatures. Not only that, but some of the creatures help the mill. For instance, Thassa makes Mirko Vosk unblockable, Wall of Frost blocks for Jace, Nightveil specter adds to blue devotion and mills if needed. See what I'm getting at?
There was also someone who tried helping me when I was building mine but he forgot it was standard. I'll link that as well, http://www.reddit.com/r/Magicdeckbuilding/comments/1qyn3z/i_made_a_standard_bu_mill_deck_but_i_dont_know/cdi5tck

Also try mindcrank instead if guildmage.

i appreciate the suggestions, but this deck plays really well one on one... as its very speedy.... as far as the delusions, i actually cipher those to my stalkers for a quick hit unblockable 6 mill off the bat.... I have been playing since 94 and i am well aware of most cards that are out there.... as far as the mindcrank instead of the guildmage.... i prefer the creature over the artifact :)

Alright, as long as you like what you have. One thing I still don't understand though is the inclusion of dream twist. Why have that in as apposed to some more control/stronger mill card? I tend to avoid the small mill and go straight for the larger chunks of cards, but it really depends on what you're aiming for.

dream twist is a really underrated and overlooked card nowadays...... the flash back option gives you that mill from your graveyard and that's always a great option when you have no cards in your hand or if your opponent has forgotten about you playing it..... of if you have have had it milled out :)

huh, I guess I just prefer breaking's 8 card mill over dream twists 6 card mill, especially because it's cheaper mana wise in the grand scheme of things.
