How to Play

This deck is going to be very fast mana ramp in order to get big creatures to swarm with Tokens.

The main keystone to this deck is using the landfall mechanic/parallel lives to generate a high amount of tokens to swarm.

Opening hand will usually want to look like 2 lands, 1 Llanowar/Birds of Paradise, and 1 ramp card. This opening hand will give you the necessary mana generation in order to ramp to drop big creatures on turn 3 or 4.

Rampaging Baloths and Avenger of Zendikar are key enforcers of this deck. With Parallel lives in play, Baloths will give you fast generation of 4/4 fighters which can be boosted with Gavony Townships to become very strong, very quickly. Avenger will give you a good amount of chump blockers, but through their landfall mechanic/Gavony Townships will become strong very fast as well.

I've play tested this deck a lot, and have done very well with 2 Primeval Titans running in it. It might be a good idea of sideboard in 2 more primeval titans if you're having an issue drawing, as their ability is pretty key to abusing the landfall mechanic on the baloths/avengers.

Master of the Wild Hunt is primarily used for creature control against aggro decks. having a couple of these guys out + parallel lives will give you amazing wolf generation to take out very strong creatures with little casualty.

Vorinclex is kind of a wild card, I've mainly used him for mana starvation against opponents, because that mechanic can seriously hinder someone in later turns of the game who are depending on mana to drop bigger cards. The double mana you receive is also incredibly useful to drop out multiple 6 or 7 cost creatures in a single turn.

Beast Within is my favorite green control card. It's my main failsafe against combo decks.

Fresh Meat is my contingency against board wipes. Board Wipes are the one type of card that can seriously hamstring the play of this deck. This card will allow you to lose everything, and still remain an force to be reckoned with, especially with Parallel Lives in play. This card is obviously situational, and can be sideboarded out. Endgame, have a lot of mana and don't know what to do with those llanowars/birds? Chump block and turn those weak mana creatures into 3/3 beasts at double the amount.

Birds of Paradise/Sunpetal groves are simply there for early mana ramp, but mainly to be used with Gavony Townships.

When playing Garruk, I've rarely used his ultimate. His early token generation is awesome, but his card draw ability is the one I find myself using most. When I cast him, I'll usually just create tokens, if I'm having a slow start and need bigger creatures or mana, I'll use the card draw. I usually find that his ultimate is overkill and have only used it maybe a few games.

The one card I've sideboarded in most, which will obviously make this deck illegal is modern, is sylvan library. Mainly because I play with friends instead of competitively, so they're not worried about sticking to a particular format. Sylvan Library is essentially a ponder during every upkeep and just lets you control how the deck is played.

That's the general gist of this deck. I've gone against a multitude of decks and have come out on top. This deck is incredibly fast and consistent. If you're willing to drop the money, I'd recommend giving it a try.

Deck discussion for Token green guy

Hey Migga,

I would move the Beast Withins into the main deck.

Also the deck is pretty top heavy, there are alot of 4 mana spells and higher, and there are only 4 one cost spells. The mana ramp spells you have will help with this, but alot of draws you are going to be just playing a forest on turn one if you dont get a BoP.

Of the 16 cards that you have that are less than 4 mana, only the 4 one cost are creatures, the rest are ramp spells, this will lead you to having an empty board until turn 3/4.

Maybe swap out the BoP for some Llanowar elves, and then add some other low cost elves that make produce mana, and drop some of the ramp spells, that way you have some chump blockers.

Ill do some playing around with some ideas, and put something together in my deck lis

take is sleazy
