derp a derp. What if they play . . . i dunno anything that hits things based on name like surgical extraction, nevermore, runed halo, memoricide etc. I get its a rats deck, but usually a rats deck does have some other things.

This is a joke deck pretty much. I have a real rat deck that doesn't only have relentless rats in it. Plus the people I play against don't have any cards like that so this would work.... for me, but my group is strictly for fun, no tournaments, no standard, just weekend play time. If you check my decks then you could see my other rat deck.
fair enough My playgroup is very mixed. I have some decks that just demonstrate fun cards doing fun things but usually such decks are quickly shunned by my casual friends, and are far to weak to make it with my competitive friends/use banned cards. Like once i built a deck to demonstrate that channel was a good card, because a couple of new players thought it was bad and unplayable. Then I beat them to death with darksteel collossus faster than their burn deck can hit back. Now I bascially have to dismantle the deck as nobody like it. What am i supposed to do with all these channels I've acquired.
I know the feeling of not being able to use certain decks. For example I made a squirrel deck to prove how overpowered they can be and now no one wants to play against them. You should slip your channels into a burn deck and then go for a turn three 20 damage fireball. It would kill you too, but hey at least you just dealt 20
technically i would die first since i have to pay the cost, which means they win actually. In fact im pretty sure the fireball wouldn't resolve since i would dead. Though i suppose I could kill myself like that. Though if I'm gonna do that Ill be classy and do something like djin illiminatus gut shot. Besides everyone i know surrenders upon sight of channel either for having lost horrifically to it half a dozen times, or because they hate banned cards. Squirrels are awesome though.
Well if you're playing with technicallities then technically channel shouldn't even touch a deck pile. I do agree on squirrels being awesome. Since i wanted to show how dangerous they can be I put in the squirrel nest/earthcraft combo for infinite squirrels. Then i combined that with essence warden for infinite life and Mycoloth for infinite saprolings. Just to top it off i added in two Vigors so my squirrels could get huge
