Deck Description

Ok, here is how this works, needs some explaining because there are many things at play. First is the deck's namesake, Lodestone Golem something that helps to stop a lot of spells from being played by your opponents. To get yourself to that point (4 mana) is the sculptor, borderposts and some removal. The many win conditions in this deck are eldrazi monument (something i'm not exactly comfortable w/) and glassdust hulk both in combination with thopter foundry and of course, open the vaults. Once glassdust is out sac all artifacts w/ foundry to create a large unblockable. Later you can open the vaults to do it again. I feel very confident in this deck's ability. Thinking about putting in spreading seas.

Should I want to convert this to Niels Viane's engine (although mine functions quite differently), I would simply need to remove the thopter foundrys, eldrazi monument, Ornithopters, Fabricates and Ponders, in replacement for 4 Filigree Angels, 4 Sphinx of the Lost Truths, 2 Day of Judgement, and 1 Spreading Seas

Deck discussion for Dragging the Lodestone

Donno about that singleton Monument, mostly because you only have one of them. A few copies of Fabricate from M10 may be nice for finding a Lodestone or Monument (or Scourglass if you have any *nudge nudge*). Maybe toss those in instead of Stormcaller's, I feel like that's kinda an underwhelming spell.

I like the Lodestone Golem/Etherium Sculptor combination, it could really mess people up. What I've noticed is that Ethersworn Canonist and Lodestone Golem don't work well together because if they can only play one spell per turn, it's not that big a deal that it costs one more, they don't need their mana for anything else. So if you know that you'd never side out the golem, think about putting something else in your sideboard.

I also really like the idea of Thopter Foundry and Open the Vaults, that seems like a pretty sweet combo. If that's your main win condition, consider Sharding Sphinx as well. Each time one of your little Thopters manages to deal damage to your opponent, you get even more! It works really well with the Eldrazi Monument and doesn't require any sacrificing like the Foundry.

I also agree with the previous poster about Scourglass, it's so amazing in my artifact deck. It's basically an instant win in your deck after you've gotten your massive army of thopters and they have no blockers or plainswalkers to stop you.
