Deck Description

This deck is built to do one thing, drain my opponent's life really fast...

How to Play

Use Read the Bones, Sign in Blood, and Underworld Connections to get what you need if you don't have it, then get out Sanguine Bond as quickly as possible. From there, use any life drain card(s) to replenish your life while rapidly sapping your opponents. Crypt Ghast will give you extortion (always nice to drain after each spell), AND double the mana for the "X" cost spells like profane command and exsanguinate.

The reason why Exquisite Blood did not make the cut in the main, is because Exquisite Blood is more for aggressive life gain, whereas Sanguine Bond is more for aggressive life loss. I would rather beat my opponent by having them lose life, than having me gain a ton of life and lasting out more of the game. S. Bond is a quicker option. I did however sideboard Exquisite Blood if you would rather take the other route...

Also, I have bee reading up on the comprehensive rules of MTG and rule 104.4b states "If a game that’s not using the limited range of influence option (including a two-player game) somehow enters a “loop” of mandatory actions, repeating a sequence of events with no way to stop, the game is a draw. Loops that contain an optional action don’t result in a draw." (The S. Bond and E. Blood combo is a mandatory set of actions) This is why I didn't include them both at the same time.

I did not make this deck white because the white cards would've offset the tempo of the deck as white is more life GAIN oriented, however there were some big considerations, like Obzedat, Ghost Council.

Fun for multiplayer AND 1 on 1.
