Deck Description

If you want an even cheaper version of this deck, take out the non-basic lands. Then you have a deck around 20-40 bucks. Although you might find it hard to play spells as quickly, that will reduce the deck in price by around 20-40 bucks. Heck, the basic lands cost more than most of the other cards.

I built this deck because I wanted a modern version of a deck I found on this site called "Torpor Orb meets M15 Hushwing" From there I witnessed a deck where you could summon a 9/8 flying trample for 4 mana any color no downsides 4th turn. It was devastating. I then looked at all effects that become negated by Torpor/Hushwing: Vanishing, "enters the battlefield", some devotion like gray merchant of Asphodel, a major staple in mono-black devotion, "blink" effect combos like Cloudshift and Ghost Council of Orzhova, titanic sea monster downsides, etc... Point is, these two cards punk out some amazing effects and debilitating effects for other decks, not just power up our own.

This deck is designed based on Hunted Horror and Eater of Days with no drawbacks, simple as that, the fact that is suffocates some decks entire strategy just happens to be a plus side.

How to Play

Get out Torpor Orb/Hushwing Griff really early and watch as you summon huge creatures for ridiculously low amounts of mana. Then watch your opponents cringe at the powerful creatures and the support spells that make them untouchable.
