You'll find that slivers are still in the top 3 best creature types in the game, even at a standard level.The reason for playing Constricting instead of Megantic Sliver is because its a damn house. I would rather wipe my opponents creatures clean off the face of the earth than buff mine own. Plus add Hivelord and my opponents are never getting their creatures back.
For people who don't know Slivers. Every sliver you play will power up the rest, causing an accumulating effect with how strong your creatures will increasingly become.
