Deck Description

*work in progress*
The pilot jams down land to cast Pantlaza, doscovers reality scramble, and that puts Serra Avatar on the battlefield. Boom! That is plan A. It is as close to having a cmc 5 tricolor Serra Avatar as a commander as possible.

I saw the deck idea and put my own twist on it.

How to Play

This is a simple but tricky deck to build well. In order to do the thing, there are a couple of self imposed rules/conditions.

Recap: First Pantlaza sweeps through the deck for any non-land with CMC 4 or less. Then Reality scramble sweeps through the deck. It puts the first permanent that has a card type in common with the card put on the bottom of the deck on the battlefield.

This means:
No CMC 0-4, except lands and Reality Scramble.
Any creature in the deck should win you the game.
You need to survive the early game. Possibly to turn five.
You need to survive and protect your stuff unless you can win the same turn you do the thing.

I selected Serra Avatar as my big mean creature. The idea was presented using Blightsteel Colossus, but I like playing the game and my playgroup has mixed feelings about poison. Further this jank isn't intended to be competitive.

There are many ways to deal with a creature. Especially one that isn't shrouded, hexproofed, indestructible, regenerating, phasing, warded, or otherwise immune to negative attention. On the plus side, Serra goes into your deck if she would die. Reality scramble can be used from your graveyard on a creature token or a recast commander to bring Serra back. That means Doom Blade type solutions become delaying tactics. Oblivion Ring and the like can be handled by artifact wipes. Pure mass exile is problematic and forces plan B. Return to hand is a delaying tactic. Spectra Ward, Asceticism, Tyrite Sanctum(eventually), Not of this World, and Kaldra Compleat will give you some protection. If you draw them and then can afford them.

Haste is a better plan. Pop the trick when opponents are tapped out. Slayer's Stronghold and Flamekin Village can give haste. Emergence Zone gives sudo haste.

Getting the damage through: Sejiri Steppe, Sunhome, Skarrg, Kessig, Rogue's Passage, Spectra Ward, Kaldra Compleat, and True Conviction assist in this endeavor.
Technically Elspeth can give flying, but that is unlikely to happen. Chandra's Ignition is cool with Serra Avatar.

Myriad Landscape and Krosan Verge are in for the ramp not the color fixing. But they can do that too.

Hidden Nursery is a backup against "Name a card, you can't cast it" type stuff.

Axgard Armory tutors Specra Ward and Kaldra Compleat. I don't think this is a probable event in the average game, but you definitely can't use a card if it isn't in the deck.

Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage are here for the instant Marit Lage combo. Titania's Command, Hour of Promise, and Reshape the Earth tutor this combo.

Approach of the Second Sun is in here because some people run Web of Inertia and Rest in Peace. Pillow forts are slow and this is insurance.

For survival there are board wipes and creature tokens. Hope for the best.

P.S. Reality Scramble can be used to grab Serra Avatar back from control effects. It targets a card you OWN not one you control.

P.S.S. graveyard hate will stop these shenanigans. Don't forget that you can just cast Pantlaza as an angry dinosaur. His ability is a "may."
