The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I've never played storm cards before.

Manamorphose and Gitaxian Probe are beautiful in this deck to increase your storm count if you can manage to chain a few together.

Updated. Possible Turn 1 craziness.
Just added a few restricted cards so I guess this is now a vintage deck, though it can function as legacy if the petal, lotus and ruby are removed; mountains take their place. Also... I can't afford those cards so it's just for show unless I'm allowed to proxy, haha.

i like the idea, but after a few sample hands, im not sure if the chances of getting what you need to get a t2 win are that high. priest of urabrask is 2R and gives you RRR when it comes into play, so is probably better suited to multi-colored decks. and the akki rockspeaker costs 1R and gives R when it comes into play. but on the other hand the priest of urabrask is basically free if its not countered, and the rockespeaker theoretically costs 1, so both would be V.good for storming. but you would still need to have at least 2 pyretic rituals in your opening hand.

I'll probably skip out on the priests, that was just an idea I borrowed from a different Bushwhacker-centric deck I had planned out. I don't really need the rockspeakers either I suppose, I already have 8 more efficient creatures. Though with a Geosurge I think those creatures would shine in this deck.

The turn two win definitely relies on multiple pyretic rituals. Unlikely but possible... I think.

maybe Manamorphose to get more storm count and draw a card to continue casting spells?

I dont play storm, but maybe add blue for cheap cantrips like brainstorm and ponder. These will both build up storm count but also help to get to the cards you need to win. I know they are used in ANT

I really like the manamorphose suggestion, that is a great addition.

I'll probably stick to mono red but if I build any other storm decks I'll keep the blue stuff in mind.

I really worry about the inconsistency of this deck. All combo/storm decks have issues of inconsistency, and the best ones are those that can best negate those possibilities. Lion's Eye Diamond is a common accelerator I've seen many of these decks use.

You also need to get in some tutors and/or scrying draw mechanics like brainstorm, ponder, etc. Combo/Storm decks are glass cannons -- they are powerful, but fragile. You NEED ample defenses or you'll be stopped short every time.

I get ya. I do kinda want to keep it just red, but I'll take a look at the blue stuff because I do want some scry like effects.

I don't like the drawback of Lion's Eye Diamond, it seems really bad to me for this deck... unless I'm missing something? What are you going to cast with the mana if you have nothing in hand?

Most Storm decks run tutors maindeck. If you look at TES for an example (I have a list on my last page), it runs 4 Infernal Tutors and 4 Burning Wish. This means if you have 3 mana available, you can cast either card and activated LDE IN RESPONSE. This gives you the mana, makes you discard your hand, and then the card you cast goes off and finds Empty the Warrens which you can then cast with the 4 mana avaliable to you.
