Deck Description

As always, likes and comments are appreciated!

Flavor text: "The fear of dragons is as old and powerful as the fear of death itself."

This deck, as the title might suggest, is all about getting out dragons and obliterating your opponent. Get out your dragons and watch as your opponent succumbs to their wrath! xD

How to Play

There are two win-conditions with this deck: Combat damage or Direct damage.

Dragon Tempest will give your Dragons haste, and also deal direct damage to target creature or player for each dragon you control each time a dragon enters the battlefield. This, coupled with Scourge of Valkas, can lead to quite a bit of direct damage whenever a dragon enters the battlefield.

Utvara Hellkite is a wonderful card to spam dragon tokens and has great synergy with Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. Dragonlord Atarka is a big threat that also can wipe creatures/planeswalkers off the board when he enters the battlefield.

Thunderbreak Regent serves as a relatively cheap CMC dragon that also helps protect your dragons by making it costly to target them; 3 damage per Regent on the battlefield. Scaleguard Sentinels is the primary aggro creature in this deck and, since you should usually have a dragon in your hand or on the battlefield, is fairly stompy since it can enter the battlefield as a 3/4 for 2 green mana.

Sarkhan serves as a means of having another attacking dragon, which has great synergy with Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. He can also serve as a means of creature kill outside your instant and sorcery cards as well as a means for extra draw when you are running low on cards.

As always, I hope you enjoy this deck!

Looks like a fun casual dragon deck. I can't see it really winning any modern tournaments, but it looks fun to play. I can't really say much about this deck other than it looks neat, but I will make a suggestion that I recommend Stormbreath Dragon as I think it's really solid and even sees some Standard play. I hope you have a nice day.

Nice suggestion, not sure what I could pull for Stormbreath Dragon but it is an awesome card. If you have any other ideas to make it more competitive I'm all ears, that's what I shoot for building decks :P

Made a few changes to this deck. Seems to play faster now with the addition of Elvish Piper. Also changed the land base a bit to have 4 Mutavaults since they have great synergy with Scourge of Valkas and Dragon Tempest for additional direct damage.

Added some additional instant and sorcery cards as well, primarily Abrupt Decay, 2 Dreadbore and 2 Maelstrom Pulse... adds some much needed removal and defense in the deck and definitely has made it more competitive.

This deck has undergone an overhaul. It's now a Gruul deck instead of a Jund deck and is more aggressive. We'll see how it works, should be better though.
